Make your own puffy paint

When you are looking for something a little bit different for artists who are adept at easel painting try making and painting with puffy paint. It is fun and needs few ingredients.

 What you will need:
  • equal parts of flour, salt, and water
  • food colouring or tempera paint

1,  Mix dry ingredients thoroughly
2.  Add water
3.  Divide into small containers if you want more than 1 colour
4.  Add  food colouring or tempera into each container and stir
5.  Get ready to paint on paper:
  • If you have squeezy bottles ( you can recycle tomato sauce/ mayonnaise plastic bottles) put one colour per bottle.
  • If you don't have squeezy bottles don't despair it can be just as much fun with paint brushes. Provide 1 brush per colour and off you go. I like to use colour coded brushes so that there is the visual cue of 'red handle means red paint' etc.
